In Bolivia, the third term and the habilitation of former President Evo Morales to the 2019 presidential elections was allowed with the acquiescence of the Plurinational Constitutional Court. Despite the fact that the Constitution prohibited it and there was a referendum that rejected indefinite presidential re-election. This occurred through the judicialization of politics that produced a non-formal reform of the Constitution producing a case of abusive constitutionalism and the destabilization of the rule of law.

In the referendum of 23 June 2016, the 51.89% majority of the British who decided to vote opted for the exit ol their country from the European Union. This paper presents the main threads in the debate concerning, on the one hand, the reasons for Brexit and, on the othe r hand, its potential consequences for the United Kingdom and the EU. The vote for Brexit was determined by long-term factors (the specific character of the country’s political and economic systems) as well as short-term ones (the rising wave of immigration and the erroneous assumptions in the strategy of the pro-Europe camp). Abstract Through this article, we propose an (original) analytical approach on the consultative referendum of May 2019 and a wider critical landscape regarding the consultative referendum institution by enforcing a teleological interpretation. In this sense, we propose three sections. We will start with a short overview on the use of the consultative referendum in the recent years of Romanian democracy. In the second section we will focus on the consultative referendum from 26 May, 2019. In the third section we will ask the Founding Fathers of the Constitution for an “opinion” regarding the possibilities and impossibilities of the consultative referendum.

La crisi del regionalismo italiano, che si evidenzia con maggiore nitore dopo l'esito negativo del referendum costituzionale del 2016, unitamente alla riorganizzazione territoriale avviata dalla legge Delrio, suggerisce l'opportunità di immaginare nuovi scenari, caratterizzati da maggiore flessibilità nella realizzazione delle politiche anche su scala macroregionale.
